Sorry I didn’t write to you so long. I tried to send you a letter but I’m not sure that the letter was delivered. Now I have the opportunity to write to you. We are very grateful for marvelous and unforgettable time that we spent in your hotel, having experienced many pleasant and positive emotions. It was really unforgettable holiday!
Unfortunately, my poor English didn’t allow me to express our admiration to what we saw. But believe me that for almost 15 years of our traveling we didn’t meet such warm greeting and amazing and comfortable staying and so touching departure.
Only people with great life experience and values could create such a hotel with comfortable atmosphere and philosophy for ideal rest. I tried to tell exactly this phrase Mr. Scholtz before our departure on boat. But I wasn’t sure that he caught my idea.
Say Hello to all your staff in the hotel.

Title: CHARMED BY BADIAN ISLAND
I WAS CHARMED by its beauty! The three-hour land trip from Cebu City and the 10 minutes boat ride were all worth it. The service was excellent and very personalized. The owners of the island resort saw to it that we were well taken cared of during our entire stay. The staff was very courteous. The food was simply GREAT!
What i also like about the resort is that 98% of their staff (including the band and cultural dancers who entertained us every night), are locals thus, providing livelihood to the natives.
I wouldn't mind taking another three-hour land trip and the boat ride just to be in that place again. I hope to visit it again someday.
Again, thanks a much for making our stay a very pleasant and inforgettable one. I will certainly miss the hospitality and the kindness of the resort's people.

Title: “Fantastic Holiday!”
I too am amazed by the poor reviews. I stayed at the island with my husband and three children aged 6,8 and 10. We stayed for 5 days at the end of December until the beginning of January. We arrived at Cebu airport at 3am to be met by friendly staff who helped us into a waiting car, the car was very clean all the seats reclined and we were supplied with aeroplane blankets and pillows, infact we slept soundly until we reached the jetty where a boat took us across to the island where we were met at 6am by smiling staff who presented us with a drink and flower garlands. The check in was very swift and we were upgraded to a wonderful room with a view of the water, the children loved the fact that the bath had been filled with petals. I had taken some mosquito plug ins but infact there were already plug ins when we arrived. The room was spotless there was a bowl of fruit and a bottle of rum on our arrival, aswell as complimentary tea and coffee making facilities in the room. With regard to the food, we chose the half board option, there was a big choice for breakfast always plenty of fruit and juices aswell as a choice of bread, pastries and cereals. They would make eggs of any kind to order and the children in particular loved the pancakes. For lunch we would usually order a sandwich or burger to eat by the pool, which is where our children spent most of the time. Each night there was a dinner either served to the table or buffet style aswell as entertainment, the venue changed each night. We were there for new years eve which was wonderful, the tables were laid out on the beach at the edge of the water, the dinner was buffet style and there was entertainment, fireworks and a disco. The island is beautiful, we were lucky enough to have sunshine for 3 of the days and even though it rained for the last 2 days, the weather was warm, there were umbrellas everywhere and our children swam in the pool regardless. The staff could not be more attentive, everyone from the gardeners to the owner greeted you as you walked past, the place was very clean and the gardens very well kept. It is true there are no tv's in the room but our children did not even notice we played games and read. There is also a games room with a couple of pool tables, bar football and darts and a small shop that could perhaps be better stocked it did sell the necessities however toothpaste, suncreams, postcards stamps and a few gifts. The bar on the beach had happy hour every evening so we would have a cocktail whilst the children paddled and looked for shells. On our departure day the staff gathered and sang goodbye to us and presented us with engraved shell necklaces to remind us of our stay. All in all it was a wonderful holiday, it was not cheap but it was worth the money and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Title: “Beautiful Badian”
Hello everyone, my family and I had the pleasure of staying at the Badian Resort and Spa most recently. I'm saddened by the harsh reviews I have read in regards to this property. Our experience was nothing but wonderful! The property was very well kept and the staff was amazing! I have never received such service as I did at this resort. Yes it is pricey and yes it is remote, but perfect for the traveler who is looking to get away from people and the hustle and bustle of busy day life. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of our holiday. First of all, we flew into Cebu and had a transfer (purchased with the resort) pick us up. I loved the 2 hour drive though the island, it’s amazing and crazy how everyone drives. We really got to see the city and its people, hundreds of little shops filled the streets with all sorts of smells and colors, but keep in mind this is a poor country. My family and I felt very lucky to be living in Canada, especially since we saw how other people live across the world. Once we made our way out of the city we drove through little towns and up through hills, it’s very beautiful. Before we arrived at the Badian Resort we hopped on a boat which is maybe 2 minutes to the property. Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome with song and dance as well as a refreshing beverage and cool cloth. Check in was very quick and easy, the very friendly staff took care of us right away. We were then escorted to our "Badian Suite", which by the way is huge! What a marvelous room!! We were all very impressed by the size and especially the open concept bathroom (flower pedals filled the tub). Also this suite has a balcony with table, chairs and hammock. We spent mornings drinking coffee and eating fruit on our balcony. If we weren’t eating we were enjoying there spa, wow I can’t say enough about Badian Spa! I also went to the spa at Plantation Bay and El Nido during our Philippines trip and they pale in comparison to Badian’s Spa. The food was wonderful and we really enjoyed the poolside dinners and of course the beach party dinner we went to on our last night there. The service we received at Badian was amazing, the staff really goes out of there way to may there guests happy. We also had the pleasure of dinning with the owners, they were wonderful company and really want all there guests to have a memorable experience at there property. I can’t possibly write about all the wonderful things Badian has to offer, I’ve just listed a few that my family and I had the opportunity to share. I would go back here in a heartbeat and recommend Badian Resort and Spa to anyone who is looking to be treated like gold and relax in pure paradise!!!!

What a wonderful power chill out I did yesterday at your lovely Badian Island Resort and Spa...
Your team (the entire front office, Mr.Tony, Mr.Mitchell Ryan, and everyone else) really took care of me, that my few hours stay felt more like a real holiday!
I had especially enjoyed experiencing your brand new POOL VILLAS, and immediately plunged into my own private pool, if only for a while...The water was clear and clean and relaxing...the rooms are very huge and luxe... The atmosphere was really relaxing, as I frolicked in my own private space, overlooking the ocean and the mountains as backdrop. And enjoying my lovely villa!
The ride from Moal Boal where your very efficient Mr. (the gentleman who drove me) picked me up in the morning yesterday, was beautiful as we travelled the two towns of Moalboal and Badian...and your speedboat pick up and welcome reception made me feel truly great to be back in your island resort and spa!
The send off was just as well!
I will definitely be back to Badian soon for a real holiday....as I must apologize, due to meeting the various magazine deadlines, I could not stay long....But I do give credit to a friend who gave me a ride all the way from Cebu City to Moalboal, and back... The roads to your resort from the city is all well paved! The road infrastructure made the trip pleasant.

I'm writing this email just to inform you about the feedback I got from the M./F. party. (after Philippines they went to Malaysia and then Hong Kong, so they arrived this Sunday). Badian was a fantastic resort, with a great friendly staff (almost a family). The diving at Pescador Island was very good and the diving operation a real 5* one! The welcome "ceremony" was spectacular. The management also upgraded their rooms! One curious situation: I don't know if you were aware, but they were invited to assist a local song festival - they were telling me that was an incredible and fun experience (most of the locals never saw an european and everybody wanted to touch them!) . They even delivered some of the prizes to the winners! Please, if you speak with the management from the Badian, give our personal compliments and a big thank you for their support on making the trip from our clients one of their best! I personally thank you for the great advice.

How are you? It has been already passed a week more from our arrival to Seoul. First of all, we all would like to appreciate all your deep and sincere care of us during our stay in your resort. Espeacially, my elder sister says constantly to thank for your familiar service and cooperation to his son since returning Seoul. My nephew is alright now. He was in a kind of Colitis according to his doctor in Korea. Now he is OK. If there was no prompt and sincere cooperation of your all family, maybe my sister's family was remained in some troubles in Cebu city. It was like a 007 movie that the whole things were performed in July 15. By the way, my mom and we were impressed by your family for twice celebrations in a day and night. As you know, the 70th birthday is the most important day to Korean life. Perhaps there is this kind of celebation to nobody in the world.
We would like to appreciate again your cordial attention. We all could not forget this trip with your fantastic resort forever.
If we have an oppertunity, we will go your resort again to enjoy your sweet dinner course and gorgeous Dolphina boating and comfort spa etc.
